Blu Note Entertainment

The Blu Note Party Band is one of my favorite projects.  After playing at a truly epic wedding reception about five years ago, I took it up myself to start a live dance band that plays everyone’s favorite dance hits.  Partnering with Nathan Pratt of Blu Note Entertainment, the Party Band was born!  I serve as the musical director for the group while Nathan handles the business end of things.  Here’s a little more about us:

The Blu Note Party Band is made up of some of the best and brightest funk and soul musicians in Los Angeles.  We are nine people ranging in age from 22-30 years old, from a mix of different racial backgrounds brought together by a shared love for live dance music.  Our one aim is to make sure that our audience can’t help but get up out of their seats and start having a blast. We dress well, show up early, play our butts off, and entertain the people from the moment we hit the first note.  You can count on us to provide a professionally reliable product as well as top-notch musical entertainment.  You won’t find our rare combination of youthful style and energy complimented by veteran experience and reliability anywhere else.

Our repertoire consists of a wide variety of styles from Stevie Wonder, Lady Gaga, James Brown, Katy Perry, Journey, Justin Timberlake and many more!  The instrumentation is always lead by vocalists Michael Cartwright California’s Ms Congeniality herself, Monet Bagneris.  Michael is as entertaining a front-man as you will see and has the experience and charisma to take any party to the next level.  In addition to bringing in our standard hits we also love to learn new music to suit or clients’ wants and desires.
